Volunteer Telford

Deliver food/meals to luncheon clubs and residents in their own homes.

Why we need your help:

RABC’s ’s local community events and campaigns require online co-ordination to ensure their success. 

As a Social Media Co-ordinator, you will provide online social media support your Community Engagement team with all elements of key donor campaigns – from planning, promotion and recruiting participants through to celebrating when targets are met.

What we need you to do:

-Assist with the recruitment of volunteers and participants for each campaign.

- Research potential and promote the campaign to supporters, clubs, businesses and schools to secure their involvement.

- Assist with PR and social media opportunities.

- Organise distribution of promotional materials.

- Respond to enquiries from members of the public about the campaign.

- Liaise with and motivate volunteers and participants.

- Update the database.

- Assist with the wrap-up and evaluation of the event.

Club 2000 Sport and Leisure are a friendly and inclusive club where people with disabilities, including learning disabilities can meet to socialise as well as taking part in organised activities.

Club 2000 meets at the Oakengates Leisure Centre in Telford from 6.30 - 9.00 p.m. on a Thursday evening.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to learn and take on a role that has some responsibility within a well-established club.

You do not need experience for this role, just a good friendly and outgoing personality.

As a volunteer for Club 2000, you will have the opportunity to give something back. The  enormous  achievement  you'll  experience doing  something  really  worthwhile  will  be  matched  only by  the  fun  you  will  have.  

You'll  be  working  with  like-minded  people  who  want  to  make  sure  the members have a good time and have great memories to look back on. So teamwork is important. You'll  make  good  friends;  you'll  learn  valuable  new  skills  and  grow  as  a  person;

You’ll be sure of a warm welcome from other volunteers and members.

As  a  volunteer,  there's  a  vast  array  of  things  you  can  get  involved  in,  from  helping  out  at  Oakengates Leisure  Centre  in the  gym,  at  the  craft  area, assisting with pool tournaments, assisting with the Bingo  or  the  Wii  Fit,  there  is  also  opportunity to assist  the  club  with  days’  out  to  places  like  Cadbury  World,  A  water  park  or  a  Barmouth  trip!

Local homelessness organisations Stay, Maninplace and YMCA are looking for a handyman or women to carry out general DIY tasks in the flats/houses that we manage in Telford.

Please get in touch if you are able to offer some time to help us maintain the accommodation offered to the people we help.

You would be required to undertake internal and external DIY tasks such as repairs and maintenance. This could include building flat pack furniture, hanging pictures, putting up curtain poles, minor plumbing and electrical tasks, painting & decorating etc.
