Volunteer Telford

Being a sense shop volunteer is a great way meet people, boost confidence and gain valuable retail experience.

Planting, weeding, watering, simple garden tasks. Instruction given. 

One morning per month. 2nd Tuesday of every month from 10 till 1pm, weather permitting.

Opportunity to learn new skills and teach ones you may have.

Volunteers would report to the team leader, James Warham. They are responsible for themselves and any children they bring.

Training:

No training beforehand.  Learning is mostly on the job.

There will be other opportunities offered from Transition Telford from time to time.

Our lottery team head out and about to wedding fairs and events to promote our celebration and wedding favours.

This year we’re hoping to attend more events and make connections with venues, wedding planners and bridal shops, so are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to join us.

Supporting our friendly and proactive lottery team, you’ll help set up our stand, chat to customers and help spread the word about these wonderful favours.

Luv2MeetU and HFT are a charity working with adults with learning disabilities and or autism to provide a fulfilling and engaging life to ensure the best possible experiences and individual requirements for the people we support.

Luv2MeetU (part of the HFT charity) are starting an exciting new programme of face to face and virtual events based at the HFT Forbes Close supported living housing.

We are looking for volunteers to help support any events or hospital/dentist appointments etc. by driving the people we support to where they need to go.

We will work with you depending on the time you have to give to ensure you benefit too either with something special for your CV, training or just knowing that you are helping immeasurably to enhance the lives of the adults we support.

With appointments the date and time cannot be changed so it would be brilliant for us if we could build up a bank of drivers so that we can eventually get to a place where we have a thriving community of adults we support being able to be even more independent whether it is an important appointment or a shopping trip to buy that special birthday present!
