We offer support, information, and friendship to people living with Parkinson's, their families, and carers. Support group meetings held on the last Tuesday of every month 1-3 pm. (except Aug) at Hadley Community Centre 30 High Street Hadley Telford TF1 5NL, Telford, TF1 5NL.

Tasks

To fundraise for the T&W Support Group by for example organisation and running of events. To run the Easy-fundraising programme via social media.; To promote the collection of the donation tins and think of new places to place these collection tins.

To organise different activities which will bring in revenue for the group. This could also include contacting local businesses to discuss what volunteering they could offer us as part of the government release volunteering day schemes or in fact this could be two separate roles.

Luv2MeetU and HFT are a charity working with adults with learning disabilities and or autism to provide a fulfilling and engaging life to ensure the best possible experiences and individual requirements for the people we support.

Luv2MeetU (part of the HFT charity) are starting an exciting new programme of face to face and virtual events based at the HFT Forbes Close supported living housing.

We are looking for volunteers to help support any events involving cooking/baking or helping the people we support to learn how to cook or bake and support them in making their own meals.

We will work with you depending on the time you have to give to ensure you benefit too, either with something special for your CV, training or just knowing that you are helping immeasurably to enhance the lives of the adults we support.

It would be an invaluable skill that the adults we support could learn to make them feel full filled and independent. You could help them create a birthday cake for a friend, bake cheese straws and scones on a cooking event or simply help them prepare a healthy lunch.

Telford & Wrekin School Governance Service
We are seeking to recruit volunteer Governors to serve on Governing Boards in schools across Telford and Wrekin.

Why volunteer?
Volunteering as a School Governor is a great opportunity to gain school leadership experience at board level as well as transferable skills that enhance performance and employability. Most of all, you will have the satisfaction of making a real difference to children's lives and helping them to realise their potential.

The main purposes of a Governor
To work as part of a team:
• Setting the strategic direction of the school
• Holding the leadership to account for the performance of the school
• Making sure that resources are used well and that money is well spent.

The time commitment

Approximately 10 days per year spent attending meetings, visiting the school from time-to-time and undertaking relevant training.

Helping our busy store team to move goods from collection to the shop floor, including sorting items for sale, function testing, health and safety checks of goods in and pricing items.
